Top Class Performance

At Framlingham College

A new sixth form resource centre has been built at Framlingham College in Suffolk to mark their 150th Anniversary.

A. C. Bacon is pleased to have carried out the structural steel frame and metal floor decking for Ipswich-based construction company SEH French. The new block works its way out and off the existing building and creates a two-storey extension with four new classrooms, seminar room, resource centre, study areas, café and social hub. A. C. Bacon has worked on numerous projects with SEH French, one of which is providing a new groundkeepers building – also at the College.

Framlingham College was founded back in 1864 in memory of Queen Victoria’s husband, Albert. The College looks across the mere to a 12th century castle and the historic parish church of St Michael. The college offers students the ability to board as well as being a day school.
