Expansion for Suffolk Manufacturer...

A. C. Bacon Engineering has completed another extension for agricultural equipment manufacturer Shelbourne Reynolds at Stanton, near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

A triple-span frame has created more space for the increase in demand from home and export markets. The new building has 90 tonnes of steelwork, including portal frames, valley beams, crane gantry beams & bridge rails, plus cold-rolled eaves beams, purlins & side rails. The building is clad with 3800 square meters of composite, singleskin & fibre-cement roof & wall sheets. We have also provided five large access doors and five personnel doors.

Shelbourne Reynolds Engineering Ltd was formed in 1972 when Keith Shelbourne purchased the business assets of Reynolds Engineering Ltd. They currently employ 120 people and utilise sophisticated manufacturing equipment including CNC & laser steel cutting machines, plus one of the UK’s largest powder coat paint facilities.
