Office, Storage & Loading Bay

More repeat custom...

A. C. Bacon have recently completed a three floor storage facility with offices, toilets and loading bay.

The main building has a low pitch roof which was clad using 115mm thick Goosewing Grey sheets 22m in length. These were offloaded and lifted into place using our crane and 'Clad Boy' system, allowing the sheets to span the full width of the building without joints. This has the benefit of reducing the risk of leaks on a shallow fall roof and also reducing the number of crane lifts required. The lower level roof to the loading bay was also clad in the same roof sheet and will be covered with photo-voltaic cells to reduce the building’s running costs. The walls to the office and loading bay are clad with 80mm thick Mini-Micro Rib panels finished in a Silver colour. These have been laid horizontally and feature vertically fixed top-hat joints at column positions using pre-formed corner panels giving a smooth and dressed appearance to the building. The structure is finished with bullnose features at the top of parapets and canopies. This produces a “three aerofoil feature” which the client was keen to obtain, making the building more distinctive and standout.

To complete the scheme, we provided fire rated personnel doors, an insulated sectional slide-over door and aluminium downpipes, all powdercoated to match the finished colour of cladding.
