At King’s Lynn Academy…
A C Bacon Engineering Limited was awarded the contract from Balfour Beatty Construction Limited to supply 135 tonnes of Structural Steelwork to re-vamp King’s Lynn Academy.
King’s Lynn Academy which is sponsored by the College of West Anglia and Norfolk County Council is currently undergoing £10.5 million worth of redevelopment which once complete in September 2013 will see an increase from 650 to 1100 students.
Part of the works required a large Central Hub linking the two existing wings of the school. The Hub will have new state of the art teaching and learning facilities; with a heavy emphasis on I.T. along with large open areas with multiple purposes. The investment is aimed to further improve the Academy’s specialisms in mathematics and business & enterprise.
