At Hingham in Norfolk, our state-of-the-art steel fabrication plant, with machinery computer-linked to the drawing offices, can produce over 100 tonnes of structural steelwork a week, with facilities for shot-blasting and painting, according to specification.

Our history

Founded in 1961, AC Bacon Engineering Ltd quickly established a reputation for high quality buildings, and a service to match.

In the early years, the company specialised in agricultural and industrial buildings – an emphasis which is still reflected in today’s contracts, even though we now work for a very wide range of clients, from hospitals and schools to zoos.

Over the 4 decades of the company’s existence, we have maintained both our independence and our leading position in the region by constantly reinvesting in technology and manufacturing facilities.
